I'm BACK!
4 days later and $400 lighter, I'm back from my lovely little Melbourne holiday, to finally, finally blog a real, a lengthy and kass-like post.
Melbourne, to say the least was amazing!
Cheap shopping, cheap public transport and great accomodation...
AND of course, my bestest friends with me.
Like the tourists we were, we constantly drew comparisons between Sydney and Melbourne..
While the shopping and transport was cheap, the food was expensive! I guess it's to be expected from the supposed food capital of Australia.
It was unfortunate that we couldn't indulge ourselves in that aspect of Melbourne... we were limited to ramyeon and migoreng almost every dinner, and toast for breakfast. Cheap but delicious.
As all of us are still on our learners, we took to public transport mainly in the form of trams! I always envisaged the trams to be old -fashioned, leather seated, slow moving, noisy carriages that moved along the streets... well I had one of four correct ! The trams were actually pretty modern and comfortable (although peak hour is hell!) and moved quicker than I thought but were noisy as hell at times. Amazing thing was that they branched all the way from the city to the Airport!
Apart from shopping, we went clubbing (more on this later) and played PAINTBALL!
My first time, as you could probably tell from the capitalisation, but it was thrilling and painful.
Getting shot though... I idolise anyone who has been shot (with a real bullet) and continued to walk. Tank.
Anyway, apart from Melbourne, nothing else interesting has happened since my last blog. Although, I think I failed to mention that I possibly might be going to France (because of my Intl studies) for the duration of 2013!
Dreaming of the lazy days in front of cafes, sipping coffee and eating croissants, and the fashion... kinda makes me excited already.. and it's still three years away. Haha.
Although, the loneliness of it all kinda scares me. :/
Not to mention that I'd be almost 17000 km away from KingRabbit.
I guess we'll have to handle that when the time comes (if it does).
On that note, I'm really happy to say that Melbourne was really good for our relationship. A sneak preview of life in the future perhaps? Who knows hehe.
Anyway, to wrap up this post, I would like to extend a really big THANK YOU to King Rabbit's friend Warcraft and her boyfriend for the great time we had in Melbourne. :)
Til next time..
