For the first time in a long time, I've felt rather at peace.
I'm not saying nothing is happening; rather nothing dramatic is happening... either that or I'm getting used to all this drama !
Haha :)
Anyway, I'm already halfway through this semester... how time flies !
The other day (very recently, I might add) it dawned on me how soon I would be taking a plane to France for a year... 1.5 years left.
It both scared the hell out of me AND made me so excited..
In 1.5 years time, I would be leaving everything and everyone I know and have grown to love so dearly for a year alone in a foreign land.
J'ai peur. :(
On the other hand, I'll get to experience something so different and something I know that will possibly change my life forever.
DAAHH THE EXCITEMENT AND FEAR !!
On a sadder note (or rather rage-filled), it sickens me how many ignorant people are out there.
Particularly ones that cannot fathom that Australia is and has been a multicultural country since the 70's. It is particularly ridiculous when the racist idiots are younger than me... I've been in this country for longer than you have, and will be here for longer than you'll ever be so don't tell me to get out of this country.. this is MY country, b*tch.
I have a lot of pride in the fact that I was born and raised in a community that promoted multiculturalism and harmony but lately, I'm beginning to think it was all a lie.
